Beauty: Gisele Bündchen

First of all: yes, this is my first post in a long time! I've been busy with school and work, and honestly, I just haven't felt all that much inspiration lately. As a personal summer project and just something to keep me busy when my classwork isn't, I'll try to make at least 2 posts a week, if not more. It just depends on what drives me to write, and lately, nothing has, that's all. I plan to change that though!

Anyway, this Beauty post is of course, about the natural Brazilian-born Victoria's Secret queen, Gisele Bündchen. I had heard of her sometimes before but just didn't really know much about her or care, since I didn't know much about her. Then one day I guess I just looked at some of her pictures and decided I liked her (well, I do NOT like her nude poses and such, but this is beauty, not photography of fashion we're talking about here). She is just gorgeous! Unlike most female celebrities, she doesn't need an ounce of makeup; she looks exactly the same without it as with it.

Her exotic German beauty shines through in any pose. She is apparently very disliked with a lot of people and called "masculine" and "overrated". Well, if she's so hated, how exactly is she overrated? Especially since she doesn't seem to model much anymore so it's not like her pictures are everywhere. And I wasn't aware having a pointed chin, strong nose, long face, and smile lines made you mannish. Oh, guess I'm masculine too, so you're not alone Gisele ;( I'm sobbing, really.

If this is an ugly man, I so wish I were an ugly man, with that beautiful blonde waves, natural feminine beauty, killer body with 100% female parts, and exotic looks.

She is also very fit and in-shape. The VS models are, after, famous for their slender, athletic figures. A little lack of waist definition never hurt anyone. I won't post photos since I'm trying to keep this blog fairly modest and it would seem like Im admiring her lack of clothing if I posted some of her body shots, but you can see for yourself on Google.

What Tyra Banks is to regular fashion models, Gisele is to lingerie models. Not exactly an admirable position, but my point is that her wild beauty got her where she is. She is confident of her appearance despite how many people seem to dislike her (not enough to counter the fans, fortunately). She has unusual looks that very much suit the most unusual settings in her photographs and ads. I so wish more women with such strong features were appreciated, as "safe" looking women such as Katy Perry, Vanessa Hudgens, or Marilyn Monroe are. I can appreciate people admiring them (though never for popular reasons for it, such as their, well, promiscuity and lack of class?), but why not more exotic-looking people as well? Someone with a strong jaw, "big" nose, tons of freckles, blue-black skin, frizzy curls, a bit of a gap between the teeth, dimples, a round Julia Stiles-ish face, thin lips? I adore untraditional beauty and would find it great if the world at least liked it. I don't care much what other people think but I see that women with those looks deserve admiration too. Untraditional beauty is unique, and it comes clearly in the face of Gisele.
